deskunk treatment

$10 - $35 in addition to the grooming price, depending on size of pet, coat type, and severity of the spray.

Please note that nothing removes the skunk odor 100% and anytime the dog’s coat gets wet, the smell will reactivate.

This deskunk treatment can drastically reduce the smell and help it to not be so pungent

emergency
"squeeze me in"

$150 in addition to groom price.

I often get requests for me to “squeeze clients in” on my schedule. I am not able to shorten another pet’s appointment in order to make extra room as each pet needs their designated time for the full grooming process, and that wouldn’t be fair to the other clients who are paying full price for that time.

The only way I’m able to squeeze someone in is by working outside of my regular, designated business hours. This greatly impacts my home-life outside of work and affects time with my family, my personal time, and my physical/mental health.

Because this results in me working a 10+ hour day, I charge an overtime price of $150 on top of the groom price.

a la carte

To accommodate the expenses associated with operating the mobile grooming van, I have implemented a flat rate fee of $100 for services that do not involve a full groom.

This fee applies to nail trims, teeth brushing, ear cleaning, and similar services.
The fee covers up to 3 pets per household, with each additional pet being charged the following:

• Nail Trim and file $35
• Ear Cleaning $30
• Teeth Brushing $25
• Anal Gland Expression $65

cancellations

I require at least a 24 hour notice for cancellations. Any cancellations made less than 24 hours will result in a cancellation fee of 50% of the grooming cost.

If I drive to your location and nobody is home or the pet is not present, this will be considered a “No Show” and I will charge the full cost of the grooming.

At that point, I am no longer able to book that spot for anyone else and will suffer lost income that impacts my business and livelihood.

flea & tick

Any pet that has evidence of fleas and/or ticks will be washed with a flea and tick shampoo to prevent the van from becoming infested. There is no additional charge for this shampoo.

Please note, it is not a flea “dip”.

humanity before vanity

This policy is extremely important in my business.

Oftentimes, clients wish to have their dog in a longer, “fluffy” haircut because they like the way it looks. In order to achieve this look, the coat must be maintained at home between grooming appointments with regular brushing AND combing using the correct types of brushes!

Without regular at-home brushing, the coat quickly becomes matted and tangled. The process of removing mats is extremely painful on your pet. It pulls their hair and can cause “brush burn” on the skin (this is an irritation of the skin that looks like a rash). They don’t understand why the groomer is causing them pain and they become very stressed out and begin to hate the grooming process, which is the exact opposite of what I attempt to achieve.

I am NOT in this business to hurt animals! We wouldn’t go between visits to our hair stylists without brushing/taking care of our own hair, so why would anyone do that to their pet? Your pet is not able to maintain their own coat, so it is up to you to do it.

I am more than happy to help you by showing you exactly what tools you need and walking you through the process of proper brushing (I even do tutorials on my social media pages!). If you’re not able to brush at home, we can work together to come up with a solution. This may result in a shorter haircut that is easier for you to maintain, or more frequent grooming appointments so I can help you maintain the coat.

If I cannot remove tangles or matting within 15-20 minutes during the grooming appointment, I will trim your pet to a shorter length. The health and safety of your pet is far more important than aesthetics.

Humanity always comes before Vanity!
